2008
The Chicago White Sox and the Minnesota Twins had to play a one game playoff game tonight to see who will be going to the playoffs and who will be going home. The game was a real pitchers dual.
Danks was the starter for the White Sox and Blackburn was the starter for the Twins. Blackburn lasted 6 innings, but gave up a big hit to Jim Thome. Danks would last 8 innings and only give up two hits in the win against the Twins.
The one hit by Jim Thome was enough to put the Chicago White Sox in the playoffs. That one hit was a solo home run in the bottom of the 7th that went over the fence in centerfield.
The Playoffs are now set.
