Who Will Win the NL Wild Card

Published by bertman under MLB Edit This

The race in the NL Wild Card is heating up with only 12 games in the regular season. The NL East Division is also a tight race which is leading to the tight race in the Wild Card.

The Philadelphia Phillies lead in the NL East by a half game a head of the New York Mets. The Mets were leading in the NL East a week ago, but since then have dropped the lead to the Phillies. The Mets still lead in the NL Wild Card by a half game a head of the Milwaukee Brewers. And the Houston Astros are only 3 games back of the Mets for the Wild Card. Any of these teams have a chance to go on a hot streak and make it to the playoffs.

I will tell you which team I think will make it to the playoffs.

I think the Philadelphia Phillies will win their Division and hold the Mets off. Ryan Howard has caught on fire and is taking his team with him.

With the collapse the Mets had last season who knows if they have really gotten over it?

The Brewers only being a half game behind the Mets I think will make a run and jump ahead of the Mets to take the lead of the Wild Card. With the Astros being 3 games back I don’t think they will be able to beat out the Mets and the Brewers.

So the team that will make it to the playoffs through the NL Wild Card will be the Milwaukee Brewers. They might only win by a game or two but that will be enough to clutch the NL Wild Card.
