The Gator’s take a bite out of the Vols

Published by bertman at 8:17 pm under NCAAF Edit This

The Florida Gator’s continue to beat on their opponents. Florida put up 17 points in the first quarter. The first play was a kickoff return for a touchdown. In the 2nd quarter the Gator’s put up 3 with a field goal. The Tennessee Vols were unable to put anything on the board in the first half. The Gator’s would put up another 7 in the 3rd quarter and 3 more in the 4th quarter. The Vols would finally score some points in the 4th quarter with a 1 yard Jonathan Crompton run. The Vols would go for the 2 point conversation, but failed to convert.

Tim Tebow threw for 96 yards with 2 touchdowns. Florida’s running-backs would run for a combined 91 yards with 9 carries each. Percy Harvin would catch the ball 2 times for 49 yards and a touchdown.

On the other side of the ball…

Jonathan Crompton would throw for 162 yards and interception. Running-back Foster would carry the ball 14 times for only 38 yards. Jones, a wide receiver, would catch the ball 5 times for 40 yards.

No. 4 Gator’s are now 4-0. They will host Mississippi next week. Another game that they most likely will blow out their opponents.

I was a lifetime Gator fan until the mid-nineties when Steve Spurrier’s antics and lack of class sent my loyalties elsewhere……Tim Tebow’s athletic abilities and off the field geniune, admirable qualities have brought me……….BACK TO THE SWAMP!
