Rookie Watchout

Published by bertman under NBA Edit This

The NBA season will start in about a month and this years NBA draft has brought some young and talented players to the league. Will these players have an impact on their teams or will they be duds.

The #1 draft pick was Derrick Rose/PG who went to the Chicago Bulls. Which I think that was a dumb decision on the part of the Bulls considering they had 4 point guards to begin with and they could have really used the #2 pick Michael Beasley.

The #2 pick was Michael Beasley/PF who went to the Miami Heat. This was a great pick up for Miami considering Michael Beasley should have been the #1 pick and they got him with the #2 pick worked out great. I would look forward to the Heat making a run for the Championship this year with Dwayne Wade, Shawn Marion, and Micheal Beasley. They also picked up PG/ Mario Chambers from the National Champions, Kansas.

The #3 pick was O.J. Mayo/SG who went to the Minnesota Timberwolves, but traded to the Memphis Grizzles for the #5 pick Kevin Love/PF. This was a big trade for both teams. I think O.J. Mayo will be a big help to the Grizzles who need a high scoring player and I think Kevin love will be a nice fit in Minnesota. Love will be a tough playing rebounder who can score.

These 4 picks are the Rookies I would watch to make a impact in the NBA this season. I would keep a close eye on the Heat and Michael Beasley to see if he lives up to the hype. This will be another great NBA season.
