“The Mets Collapse 2″

Published by bertman under MLB Edit This

What can I say? For the second straight season the Mets blow a shot at making the playoffs. After I great performance by Johan Santana on Saturday, pitching a complete game and allowing only 1 run, on Sunday the Mets Offense couldn’t return the favor by putting enough runs on the board and blowing there chance at of the playoffs, AGAIN.

At times the Mets looked like a team that would have done well in the playoffs and at other times they looked as if they wouldn’t stand a chance in the playoffs and today they showed that by losing the most important game of the season.

This is starting to look an ever year thing. I know, I know its only happened twice, but if they couldn’t get the job done this time whats supposed to make me think they can next year or the year after that? Johan Santana was a great pick up, but I guess it wasn’t enough. They are going to have to do something to this team. I don’t know what it is, but something isn’t right.

But hey at least with their lose my prediction of the Brewers winning the NL Wildcard is correct.
