The Start Of The NBA Preseason

Published by bertman at 10:34 pm under NBA Edit This

The NBA got jump started today with preseason. There were a few first happening today like Greg Oden getting his first start and Ron Artest getting his first start with the Houston Rockets.

Maybe with the acquisition of Ron Artest the Houston Rocket will be able to make it out of the first round of the playoffs. The future looks bright for the Portland Trailblazers with a health Greg Odem.

I can’t wait to get a good look at Michael Beasley. I think that was the best pick in the NBA draft and Chicago was stupid for not picking him. The Bulls already had 4 point guards. They didn’t need another one. They need someone that can score and Michael Beasley can do that.

I also want to see O.J. Mayo, Kevin Love, and Eric Gorden. Mayo and Love didn’t really go to good teams so it may take a few years before they really get looked at, sorta like a Kevin Durant. But I think Eric Gorden will have an impact on his team especially with the Clippers picking up Baron Davis from the Warriors.

This NBA season is going to be full of young talent and I can’t wait!

Beasley should be fun to watch with the Heat. I can’t fault Chicago for taking Rose, none of their other PG’s are actually playmakers. Gordon’s probably a year or two away from being a real contributor, I think.
