Who Knew It Could Be So Bright At A Night Game?

Published by bertman at 12:00 am under MLB Edit This

The Tampa Bay Rays have been nothing short of spectacular on the road in Boston. They would put up 9 runs in game 3 and they would top that in game 4 by putting up 13 runs. 5 of those runs coming in the 6th inning, 1 more than the Red Sox had all game.

It looks as though the Rays have taken the breath out of the Red Sox hitters. The players that Boston needs to produce runs are struggling to produce hits, period. We all know that without hits it will take a lot of walks to win a game and the Red Sox ain’t getting much of either one.

The Rays have also done something that they needed to do in order to have a shot at winning this series and that is put runs on the board. They’ve been putting runners on the bases and have been driving them in for runs. Not with just base hits, but a flurry of homeruns.

But I wouldn’t count the Red Sox out yet. They have been in these kinds of situations before and have found ways to win, but will they be able to do so with a Josh Beckett that is not 100% and NO Manny Ramierz?

This very experienced Boston Red Sox team is not playing as they have in the past. On the other hand this unexperienced Tampa Bay team is playing like they have been here before and don’t plan on leaving any time soon.

With the series going to a game 5 with the Rays leading 3-1 the Red Sox will have to find a way to stop the Rays from scoring.

Don’t count the Red Sox out, but not be surprised if the Rays win the series.
