Something the Tampa Bay Rays did not want to see and had plenty of opportunities not too, will have to tonight.

The Boston Red Sox with their game 6 win forces a game 7 in the ALCS. This has not been an easy task for the Red Sox having to make a unbelievable comeback in game 5 and then stop James “Big Game” Shields at home in the Trop. Through all that it now comes down to one game. Game 7 of the ALCS.

With the Rays looking so good in Boston has not looked the same at home, which is opposite to the regular season where they were almost unstoppable at home. Will that same Tampa Bay Ray team show up in game 7? Or… Will it be the team we saw give up 8 runs in 2 1/3 innings?

Despite the two loses in a row I will not go back on my word that the Tampa Bay Rays will win this series. I may regret those words later, but I still like this Rays team and I think that their just putting to much pressure on themselves to win. Even though the Red Sox won game 6 it wasn’t a blow out. It was a close game that could have changed with a swing of the bat which will have to happen if the Rays want to win game 7.

The 2 factors I think will have the greatest effect on the out come of game 7 will be fielding and pitching. The Rays hitting is fine and I don’t worry about them don’t scoring something, but the fielding(especially the infielding of Evan Longoria) witch has cost the Rays big time in game 5 and 6. Their pitching is something else that I worry about. If Matt Garza ever wants to pick a day to pitch the best he’s ever pitched it would be tonight in game 7 of the ALCS. If he goes deep in the game without letting Boston score then I think the bullpin will hold on. It was a miracle for the Red Sox to do it in game 5 to do it twice in one series would be unheard of.

This has been a crazy series and I not know what to expect. All I know is the winner will be meeting the Philadelphia Phillies in the the World Series. Which ever team wins deserves to go and if you have watched this ALCS then would have to agree.
