Tampa Bay Rays down 3-1 and facing an ACE!

Published by bertman under MLB Edit This

The Tampa Bay Rays are down 3-1 in the World Series and standing at the bottom of the mountain looking up. They let game 3 slip away and wasn’t even close in game 4. This team that has been showing us all something all year has showed us nothing so far in the World Series and now there down to 3 must win games in order to be World Champions.

With Ryan Howard waking up in game 3 and being wide awake in game 4 the Phillies are looking like they are going to run away with this series only needing one more game to seal the deal. Now they go to game 5 putting their best pitcher on the mound, Cole Hamels. He is 4-0 so far in the post season and looking to make it 5-0. What better situation could the Phillies ask for?

As for the Rays they are in desperate need for their bats to wake up and get things going. A time that has hit 25 homeruns this post season is not showing that so far in the 4 games they have played against the Phillies and if they want to win it needs to happen and happen now.

This will be a huge game for Scott Kazmir who will start for the Rays in game 5 of the World Series. He needs to keep the Phillies bats at bay and hope that the Rays can give him some runs support. As for the Rays hitting they need to do what they did to the Red Sox and jump on the pitcher early in the game. Cole Hamels is not a pitcher that that easy to do to, but they are going to have to find a way in order to win this game and force a game 6.

This series is looking all but over, but crazier things have happened. Can the Phillies hold on and win the World Series tonight or will the Rays surprise us again and force another game?
