NCAAB Is About To Tip Off
It’s about that time again. Time for October to end baseball, time for football to start heating up, and time for basketball to begin. But it’s not the NBA that I’m concerned with it’s the college hoops.
It seems like March Madness happened so long ago, but yet it’s so close and the season hasn’t even started yet. Who could forget last season? Full of great young and talented stars, cinderella teams, power houses, and of coarse the shocker’s. This year we’ll be in store for another go around and before you know it it will be March again. One power house has already be announced and to no surprise it’s the North Carolina Tarheels.
The Coaches polls have UNC ranked #1 to start the season, but not all is well in Tarheel land. Senior Forward and last years “Player of the Year” Tyler Hansbrough is out indefintely with a shin injury. The Tarheels won’t know exactly how long Hansbrough will have to sit out with this injury until next week or so. This type of injury is one that can get worse if it’s not rested now while its not that bad. Not all is bad though. The Tarheels have a lot of talented players that will fill his spot until he is able to return.
Speaking of Talented players many of them from last year left and entered into the NBA draft and are now player professionally. These players include names like Derrick Rose, Michael Beasley, Kevin Love, O.J. Mayo, and the Lopez twins. Not all talented players left though names like Tyler Hansbrough, Stephen Curry, Hasheem Thabeet, and Ty Lawson, Kenny George etc.
If you’re a college hoops fan then your in store for another great season. Who know’s who will make that unexpected run for glory? Or who will challenge UNC for #1? But this is why we watch and this is what makes March full of Madness.
