167
What a score. Something you don’t see everyday and it’s always cool when you see it happen. The Texas Tech men’s basketball team score of 167 is the highest in Texas Tech history. While scoring 167 points 10 of the Texas Tech players were in double figures for scoring.
But along with scoring 167 points they also gave up 115 to East Central. To score 167 points and have 10 players in double figures your offense has to be clicking, but to let the other team score 115 your defense has to be slacking a little bit. I understand if your scoring like crazy that you can let your defense slack off some, but you would think if you scored 167 that you would win by more than 52 points.
The defense was bad on both sides of the court. East Central allowed 167 points. Thats pretty much playing no defense. I’m sure in practice they will be going over how to play defense. As for Texas Tech they probably will hear a little from the coach, but by putting up 167 on the offense of side they probably won’t hear to much about it.
This will probably be the most points scored this year in college basketball and probably for a couple of years to come. Thing’s like this is what makes college basketball so fun to watch. This will be one of the things we will look back on after the season is over and say it is in the “Top Ten Things” that happened during the season.
