Titans not so Titan
With a 10-0 record the Tennessee Titans were the only unbeaten team in the NFL going into Sunday. They faced the New York Jets, who have been rolling in the past few weeks and this week would be no different. The Jets didn’t just barely beat the Titans they crushed them.
The Jets put up 34 and only allowed 14 in 60 minutes of play. The Titans trailed 10-3 at the end of the first half. Still a reasonable score for the Titans to come back from, but the Jets wouldn’t let up.
The Jets would score 10 unanswered points in the third quarter. Putting the Titans in a 17 points hole going into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter the Titans would score their first touchdown of the game, but it wasn’t enough to get past the Jets who would score two more touchdowns also and put the game out of reach.
The Jets held the Titans to only 45 rushing yards which had been their strong point during their 10 game winning streak(except last week), but the Jets stopped the run and had a strong running game of their own, running for 192 yards. This game show’s that the Titans aren’t so Titan. I’m sure the remaining teams will use this game to their benefit and make it tougher for the Titans to finish the season with one lose.
