That’s right. Just like every year the Yankee’s are ready to throw money around like it grows on tree’s. Willing to pay player’s way more than other teams can afford.
I’m tired of seeing the Yankee’s fork out ridiculous amounts of money and not win. You know? I wouldn’t mind if they would actually win. I mean with the teams they’ve had in the last 5 years it’s hard to believe they haven’t won a Championship.
I know more goes into winning than just money, but come on. How many good players do you have to over pay in order to win? I mean they get paid rather they win or not. I’m not saying players on the Yankee’s don’t want to win, but making that kind of money I would expect a lot more than they’ve shown the last couple years.
I’m just tired of them over paying players and not winning. If they won a World Series ever other year then I’d be like, “At least they are getting their money’s worth”, but their not.
I wonder who they will get this year and how much they’ll get paid.

A long, long wait for Philly sports fans has finally ended with the Philadelphia Phillies defeat the Tampa Bay Rays 4-3 in game 5 of the World Series. Winning the series 4-1.
The 25 years that the Philly fans and players(baseball players) have waited ended on a 0-2 strikeout by Brad Lidge in the top of the 9th inning and then the celebration was on. Lidge dropped to his knees as Philly after Philly jumped on top of him.As dominate as Lidge was in the post season going 7 for 7 in save opportunities and having a .98 ERA he would not be the MVP of the World Series that title would go to none other than Cole Hamels.
Not only did he win the MVP for the World Series he was also the MVP of the NLCS. No doubt in my mind that it should have went to no one else other than him. He went 4-0 in the playoffs and had under a 2 ERA.Who would have thought at the beginning of the season that the Philadelphia Phillies would beat the Tampa Bay Rays in the World Series.
A very unlikely series turned into the dream for both teams. The Phillies finally get their championship that they’ve waited so long for and the Rays, a team that wasn’t supposed to make it this far, to win their division, beat the Red Sox in a game seven of the ALCS made it. Though they may have not won the ultimate prize they exceeded all expectations and have gained the confidence that they needed to know that they can play with the best and can make it this far. A young team that I’m sure we will see again very, very soon.
As for the Phillies they got what they wanted, to be World Series Champions and the rest is history.
