Do the Tarheels have enough to win the NCAA Championship?

Published by bertman under NCAAB Edit This

Every year the North Carolina Tarheels put a great team out on the court and every year they have a team that could win the NCAA championship, but some years they don’t and some they do, so is this year one of those years they do? Or will it be like last year and be a year they don’t?

I have a feeling that this year the tarheels will win the NCAA championship. I think they have the best team in college basketball. They brought back a lot of players that were there last year when they got knocked out of the final four by Kansas and I think they learned from that and want to prove they can win the NCAA championship.

UNC has a great team and it starts with Ty Lawson. He is a great point guard and really knows how that team works. He can score and is great at giving the ball up at the right time. He plays good defense which in returns can spark offense.

Now as good as I think Ty Lawson is I think Tyler Hansbrough offers a lot more to the team. He’s a great scorer and can rebound. But he brings something to the team that is important in rallying the team when down and that’s PASSION. Hansbrough is the most passionate player in college basketball or at least he shows it the most.

They Tarheels have other good players that are important to the team. Danny Green and Wayne Ellington are great shooters from behind the arc and can hit big shoots. Ed Davis is a great young player that will become great when hansbrough leaves and he’s in the hole by himself.

So I think this year is the year that the tarheels get the job done. If they don’t I think it will be a big let down to all the UNC fans.

Upsets and Duh’s in the NCAA Tournament

Published by bertman under NCAAB Edit This

Every year the NCAA tournament is full of surprises. Every talk’s about them. One thing people don’t talk about is the Duh’s. The one’s that no matter how good a number 16 seed plays their just not going to win. Well I’m going to talk about both. So sit back and enjoy the Upsets and Duh’s so far in this years NCAA tournament.

Upset

The biggest upset so far is #13 seed Cleveland State taking it to Wake Forest. I thought Wake Forest was a lot better team, but I guess I was wrong. Cleveland State made them look like high schoolers.

Duh

Louisville vs. #16 Morehead State. I mean come on. Are you serious? Louisville handled the job by beating them by 20, probably not even trying. But I can say on good thing about Morehead State, at least they made it to the NCAA tournament.

Upset

This might not seem like an upset to some but I think it was. #13 Wisconsin beat #5 Florida State. I had Florida State going to the sweet 16, but they couldn’t get out of the first round.

Duh

Connecticut vs. #16 UT-Chattanooga. No more need be said.

Well that’s about it so far this year in the NCAA tournament. There have been some closes games that could be called upsets or Duh’s, but I think these ones are obvious. You never know whats going to happen next so keep watching the NCAA Tournament.
